Oh Donna, you cannot image how quickly I grabbed a pen and paper and wrote this down! Wednesday was one of the most horrible days we have had in four years. We were forced to make the decision to either continue Copaxone with an experimental drug that I don't even know the name of, or do without Hospice care for Richard. This is a nightmare. Either he will suffer with the constant pain that Primary Progressive in its end stages deals out, thereby getting some "possible" life-extension, Or we give up on any chance of slowing or stopping this progression and allow Richard to die more quickly -at the age of 54 - but to die in peace!
I will take this information from you and go straight to the nursing home with it today. If they do not seem interested or knowledgeable about Palliative Care, I will find someone who is.
