Schwann cell precursors: a favourable cell for myelin repair in the Central Nervous System

The authors studied the effect of implanting peripheral myelin-producing cells in the central nervous system, at an early stage of their development, using a rat model of MS. They found the cells to be effective in producing new myelin in MS lesions.
