Biogen Idec gains space for employees

DURHAM - Biogen Idec expanded by 14,000 square feet in Durham's Imperial Center, where the company plans to employ about 200 customer service representatives by mid-2007.
The space is in addition to the 30,000 square feet Biogen already leased for its Durham call center.
The employees will answer calls from patients and physicians who have questions about Biogen's multiple sclerosis drugs, Avonex and Tysabri. Both are manufactured in Research Triangle Park.
